This return climbs 1,547 m Mount Ishido in Nishimera, Miyazaki, one of the Mera Three Peaks with Ichifusa and Amatsutsumi, from the sixth-station trailhead at the end of an unpaved forest road. The route runs over narrow ridges, a chained rocky crest and a string of false summits before the top, with akebono azaleas in mid to late April and other azaleas in May. The summit looks toward the Kirishima range and Mount Ichifusa.
